Pennsylvania State Police Background Check Instructions
- This clearance will take about 5 mins to complete and is free of charge when you choose "New Volunteer Record Check" on the landing page of the site.
- Browser Requirements: DO NOT COMPLETE IN SAFARI . Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.x-11.x, Microsoft Edge, Firefox version 60 or newer, or Chrome version 66 or newer using a 32 bit or 64 bit browser. All other web browsers or versions (such as Safari and Opera) are not supported. Web browsers need to accept cookies and have scripting enabled. Ensure that pop-up blockers are disabled.
- Once you receive the email that your clearance is complete (usually within a couple minutes of completion of form) you must follow the instructions below to retrieve your certificate.
Step by Step Instructions
Please follow instructions closely.
- Once on the web page, choose the button
"New Record Check
Volunteers only"
option .
- Read the information and then check the box at the bottom under Volunteer Acknowledgment Section.
- When filling out the form, under volunteer organization, put Fellowship of Christian Athletes. You do not need to include a volunteer organization phone number.
- Fill out required personal information in the stared blank fields.
- Once all information is filled in, choose the
next button at the bottom of the page.
- Review the information for accuracy, then click
proceed at the bottom of the page.
- Fill out all of the required blank fields on this page.
- click submit your request
- You are not complete! Continue reading to learn how to print out your certificate.
- Review and make sure that all of the information is accurate.
- If you need to make additions or changes, click on your name and you will be redirected to the previous screen to make changes.
- If everything looks good click submit
- Write down your control number and date you submitted the form.
- You should receive two emails, one delivered immediately stating that your request was received and then another shortly after with a link to retrieve your document.
- .Once you receive the second email, PATCH Request Complete, click on the link in the email.
Retrieve your Clearance Certificate
- Once you have clicked on the link in the email from PATCH. (PATCH request complete)
- Enter the control number that was included in your email.
- Enter the date that you submitted the request (you should have written this down).
- Enter your name
- Click Search
- Click on hyperlink
- Click on Certification Form
- Save document to your computer
- Print your certificate for your records
- Email the certificate to your FCA contact person.
