Step 2: Training
Log into your account.
- Your account dashboard will show a list of the training courses you are required to complete. After completing each training program, please revisit your dashboard for guidance on the next required training program. The number of required training programs is dependent on the role you are applying for.
- Previous FCAU training completions should reflect in the VIP. Please notify your FCA Representative if completion of a program is not reflected on you dashboard.
- Please note that Child Abuse Prevention Training is mandatory for all applicants. This training is part of FCA’s national application process. Because state requirements for mandated reporters (such as teachers and coaches) vary, FCA has implemented a standardized training program for all volunteers. While we recognize that Pennsylvania mandated reporters are already required by state law to complete abuse prevention training, FCA requires every volunteer—regardless of state—to complete the FCA Abuse Prevention Program as part of the application process.
Frequently return to the dashboard for your next steps.
Complete your PA Volunteer Required Clearances
If you do not have up to date PA Volunteer Clearances (within the past 5 years) you will need to complete these background checks so that we can collect and file them with our other volunteers.
These clearances include:
- PA Child Abuse
- PA Criminal
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (or disclosure)
See instructions on how to obtain these clearances through the link on the button.
Send all three documents to your FCA Representative once you have received them.
Step 3: Finalize
- Confirm that you have completed all the required tasks on your dashboard
- Notify your FCA Representative that you have completed the VIP Journey
- Send your FCA Representative all three of your PA State Volunteer Clearances
