4. Complete Your Required Training
Your account dashboard will show a list of the training courses you are required to complete. The number of required training programs is dependent on the role you are applying for.
After completing each training program, return to your dashboard for instructions on the next required course.
- Please note that Child Abuse Prevention Training is mandatory for all applicants. This training is part of FCA’s national application process. Because state requirements for mandated reporters (such as teachers and coaches) vary, FCA has implemented a standardized training program for all volunteers. While we recognize that Pennsylvania mandated reporters are already required by state law to complete abuse prevention training, FCA requires every volunteer (regardless of state)to complete the FCA Abuse Prevention Program as part of the application process. Please be sure to click on the button at the end of the video to confirm that you have completed the video. This is a commonly missed step.
Frequently return to the dashboard for your next steps.
5. Gather your PA Volunteer Required Clearances
As you complete your required training programs, please ensure your PA Volunteer Clearances are up to date (issued within the past 5 years). If not, you’ll need to complete new background checks so we can file them with our other volunteer records.
These clearances include:
- PA Child Abuse
- PA Criminal
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (or disclosure)
Hold on to your clearances! If needed, a church representative will be reaching out to collect them from you.
See instructions on how to obtain these clearances through the link on the button.
